home2.gif DESIGN FOR SCIENCE was the laboratory design consultant for the Carnegie Institution of Washington Global Ecology Center (GEC) at Stanford University. The GEC was awarded a L.E.E.D. Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The GEC was named as the Laboratory of the Year - Special Mention by R&D Magazine, 2005. The GEC was also named as one of the Top 10 Green Buildings of 2007 by the American Institute of Architects. EHDD Architecture in San Francisco is the architect for the project. Rumsey Engineering in Oakland, California is the MEP Engineer for the project.
