Glen Berry is the President and Founder of DESIGN FOR SCIENCE. Mr. Berry has specialized in the programming, planning, and design of science buildings since 1986. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Utah (1988) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from Brigham Young University (1983). Mr. Berry is a registered architect in Utah, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Prior to founding DESIGN FOR SCIENCE in June of 2000, Mr. Berry was a Principal with Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum, GPR Planners Collaborative, and Research Facilities Design. |

Emil Sandru provides laboratory engineering and design consulting services to Design for Science on
a project basis. Mr. Sandru is a professional engineer licensed in the state of California, and holds
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Bucharest (1965)
and a Ph.D. degree in Thermal Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (1978). Mr. Sandru
has worked in the planning and engineering of laboratory science buildings since 1993. Prior to working
with Design for Science, Mr. Sandru was employed with Research Facilities Design for 18 years.

Al Whitley is the BIM Facilitator and Director of 3D CAD/virtual design for DESIGN FOR SCIENCE. Mr. Whitley holds a Master of Business Administration degree from San Diego State University (1989), and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Bachelor of Arts in Art History, and a Bachelor of Business Administration, all from the College of William and Mary (1977). Mr. Whitley is a registered Architect in California, and a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Whitley has specialized in computer aided design, project documentation and building information modeling (BIM, Revit, Navisworks) since 1985. He is the Principal and Founder of Whitley Consulting Group in San Diego, and employs seven full-time CAD and BIM specialists. The Whitley Consulting Group provides BIM Facilitation and 3D visualization services to DESIGN FOR SCIENCE on a project basis.
